It is that time of year again! The Hendricks Co 4-H Fair is less than 30 days away and the Fair Board and staff are putting finishing touches on our 2012 Fair Schedule. Everywhere you turn, you will find a different entertainment option. Returning in 2012 are the Swifty Swine Pig Races, Bear Hollow Wood Carvers, Rodeo, and the always popular Cheerleading Contest, held on Tuesday July 17. New this year are the High Flying Pages Aerial & Animal Equestrian Show, Kidbuck$ Game Show, and Junior the Fair Bear! Junior will be hanging out around the Sponsor Shelter all week. Be sure to stop by and tell him hi!
Our pre-fair main attraction features David Nail & Hunter Hayes live on July 14 at 8 PM. This event has been moved to the COVERED Horse/Equine Arena. Tickets are on sale right now at www.4hcomplex.org.
Exhibits and show schedules will stay consistent with our past fairs, except for a couple changes. The Goat Show is now a two-day show on Sunday Evening (July 15) and Monday Morning (July 16). This project has grown so much over the years that more time is needed to accommodate this show! All of the Dog Activities will now be on Saturday July 14 for the community to enjoy!
The Fair Board and I would like to say a special “Thank You” to all of our Leaders and Volunteers that make the 4-H Fair the success that it is. We are proud of all of our 4-Hers which continue to demonstrate the principals of everything 4-H stands for.
Good luck at the Hendricks County 4-H Fair!
Brenda Burnell
Fair Board President
