National
Powwow has been held every three years since 1969, with dances taking place all over the country including Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Kansas. The National Powwow community exists to respectfully share in the values of American Indian culture and strives to increase awareness of American Indian culture and traditions among the non-Indian community with the support and guidance of Indian people. We are fortunate to have established relationships with exceptional singers, dancers, craftsmen and historians from all over the US and internationally, and we rely on the combined knowledge and experience of our community to promote education regarding American Indian culture. We are proud to enter our forty second year of National Powwow and invite you to join our celebration to be held July 6-9, 2011 at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds in Danville, Indiana.
