The Hendricks County 4-H Fair received international recognition after competing with their “Chopped Food Challenge Benefitting Family Promise and Hendricks County Food Pantries” competitive exhibit.
The organization received an Award of Excellence in the Competitive Exhibits contest during the International Association of Fairs and Expositions 2022 Virtual Awards Show. “The IAFE Competitive Exhibits Contest continues to be a popular and competitive contest within the fair industry. The panel of expert judges identify the entries with the most creativity, best use of resources, and highest level of innovation.
In addition, Hendricks County 4-H Fair received the Judges Choice award. Judges selected a "Judges’ Choice Award” from the 258 entries. The winning entry should be exceptionally original, creative, and innovative. An ideal winner would be a program or concept which may be easily replicated (larger or smaller format) by any fair or exposition.
We are proud to recognize those excelling in competitive exhibits,” Brittney Harper, Member Services Manager, said. The awards were presented during the 2022 Virtual Awards Show, presented both on Zoom and Facebook Live. The Competitive Exhibits contest received 258 entries, showcasing a vast array of promotional tactics used at fairs across the world. Competitive Exhibits awards are sponsored by North American Midway Entertainment, headquartered in Indiana.
The 10 categories within the competitive exhibits awards are divided into five divisions by fair attendance. After submission, entries are judged based upon predetermined criteria set forth by IAFE committees. Judges include industry professionals both within, and outside of, the IAFE membership.
